We passionately care about children and the way they learn.

We believe that students have the right to:

  • content and methodology that relates to their way of thinking and their experience of life;
  • a sensitive but thorough monitoring of their progress;
  • the enhancement and the development of all their different skills;
  • an environment in which they enjoy learning.

We will do all in our power to initiate whatever action is necessary so that teachers will have at their disposal the resources and material they need so that students will:

  • develop literacy;
  • reach their potential;
  • look back on their schooling with affection;
  • contribute to society based on their abilities and capabilities.

Having reached the age of 77 I have decided to make clear in this presentation the raison d’être for the responsibility I believe I have carried all these years. I believe that I have something to offer but sadly my work has been ignored for over 46+ years. I am fully aware that after reading the reader may well view what I say as strange or worse. However, I believe it is incumbent on me to provide this personal testimony and while fully aware that few will agree with the contents I am hopeful that perhaps the majority will look upon my good self as perhaps an elderly English eccentric and in doing so that I have every right to say it.

Regarding optimising childrens’ wellbeing and learning, I have tried mightily to support with evidence what I know from personal experience to be true. Thanks to the OECD PISA Reports finding evidence according to international comparisons was relatively simple but still the politicisation of education in the UK, USA and NZ continues unabated even though the evidence that the ship (education) the politicians pirated and then steered was heading for disaster. One can only do what one can do and so with heavy resignation I put finger to laptop to share whatever knowledge I possess. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, David
